Vanderosa Farms began as a dream-a quiet piece of farmland perched 300m high above Pakiri Beach and the Pacific Ocean, with nothing but open skies, native bush, and breathtaking views. Over the years, we’ve lovingly transformed that land into a place where nature, celebration, and timeless memories come together.
Founded by Jesse and Robyn Van Kekem, Vanderosa Farms was built from the ground up with heart and hard work. What started as a rural escape quickly became a passion project: thousands of native trees were planted, paddocks became rich with wildlife, and the largest barn on the property was crafted to host unforgettable gatherings. Every post, path, and plant was placed with care, and it shows.
Today, Vanderosa Farms is a private hilltop venue just over an hour north of Auckland, designed with weddings in mind. Our 216 m? bespoke barn opens onto sweeping lawns and panoramic views of the coastline, offering a breathtaking backdrop for ceremonies and celebrations of all kinds.
We’ve created a space that reflects the beauty of the land, the warmth of community, and the flexibility for you to make your day your own-bring your own drinks, your own caterers, and your unique vision. From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel the calm, the charm, and the sense that this place was made for meaningful moments.

A Deeper look
Down the concrete driveway, an extensive lawn over-looking the view is the perfect place to hold your ceremony. Further down the driveway the venue welcomes you with beautiful bespoke barn doors, setting the tone for an elegant country experience. From inside, huge slider doors accentuate and frame the view to ocean. Take your pick inside of where you would like the head table, from any angle the views are amazing.
NB: If you have additional power needs ie chiller or catering you will need to provide an additional generator.
The space seats up to 150 guests. A sprawling deck stretches out the front of the building, a perfect place for guests to gather around bar leaners before your reception. Around one side of the building there is space for a fire pit in winter (when there isn’t a fire ban) where you can enjoy celebrating with your guests into the evening. The building provides a perfect canvas for you to decorate if you wish or is beautiful left un-touched. You will need to add a caterer of your choice, however we can recommend local food truck services. There is no corkage fee for alcohol. There is accomodation on site that sleeps 10.
